Ella, where the hell you been, loca? (A quick update)

Hello!

Wow, has it been a hot minute! It's been a busy eight months, that's for sure! (Also, sorry not sorry for the Twilight reference, a good friend convinced me to watch them recently seeing as it was "hoa-hoa-hoa-hoa-hoa" weather.)

I have had my head down and my bum up but I can now excitingly say that I have finished my studies and am a fully qualified Wildlife Vet Nurse! Yippee! I couldn't have done it without all the support of my friends (who have been patiently waiting for me to have time to catch up), wonderful colleagues (who have patiently answered my unending questions), and family.

I am so excited to have time to get out and adventure and return to blogging!

Work is definitely starting to pick up again as breeding season kicks off! On that note, now is a good time to remind your local communities to slow down and look for wildlife; check the pouches of mammals that have been hit by cars; not to steal baby birds (fledglings); and brush up on what to do and who to call if they find injured wildlife.

As the weather warms up I'll create some blog posts surrounding the above topics :)

Let's band together to inspire and educate our local communities, and empower our neighbours to care for our local wildlife!

Remember, even the smallest of pebbles makes a ripple. Be the pebble in your community (not the pebble in someone's shoe).

Until next time!

Ella
